Announcing Tizen Studio 3.6 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of Tizen Studio version 3.6. This release includes new features to further improve the performance of the Tizen Studio IDE and its tools. 

 

Key features:

  • 5.5 Platform images have been updated.
  • Support for the type property for wrt service applications has been provided.

Tizen 5.5 Public M2 release provides developers with Tizen kernel, device drivers, middleware subsystems, and Native/Web/TizenFX APIs.

We are pleased to announce the release of Tizen Studio version 3.5. This release includes new features to further improve the performance of Tizen Studio IDE and its tools. 

 

Key features:

  • Java 12 Oracle/Open JDK support has been added to make the IDE and tools work with Java 12.
  • Tizen 5.5 Platform support has been added.
  • Template Creation Project Wizard has been refined to add Flat View which provides a different view for the purpose of project creation.
  • Support for Add-on and Component based type applications has been provided for tizen 5.5 applications.
  • Support for adding dependent package information provided in config and manifest editor from Tizen 5.5.

Announcing Tizen Studio 3.3 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of Tizen Studio version 3.3. This release includes new features to further improve the performance of Tizen Studio IDE and its tools.

This release includes some key bug fixes

  • Application Launch was not happening if the Emulator was not in launched state already, ie Run As Option was working fine only for the first time.
  • When project was run with the platform-level certificate it was asking for the Author & Distributor password which is not required by the user to enter every time.
  • Device Logs were not visible in Device Manager due to parsing issue.
  • Added launch_screen element to the platform schema for Web Profile.

We are pleased to announce the first milestone release of Tizen 5.5. Tizen 5.5 Public M1 release provides developers with Tizen kernel, device drivers, middleware subsystems, and Native/Web/TizenFX APIs.

 

Key highlights of this release are as follows:

  • Embedded speech recognition engine has been added as a Speech To Text (STT) engine
  • Supports multi-assistant framework that supports multiple assistants at the same time
  • .NET Wearable UI extension (Tizen.Wearable.CircularUI) 1.2.0 is supported
  • Lottie animation viewer has been added.
  • Support for the High resolution(4K/8K) has been added. Display server can display the multi-resolution windows with the fullscreen size on a screen

    • Tizen Studio now supports OpenJDK 10.

Tizen Studio 2.5 Release

Key features:

  • Optimization of the Baseline SDK from 480 MB to 320 MB for faster download and installation.
  • Integration of Certificate Manager tool in RT IDE for a seamless experience. App developers can now use the same Certificate Manager tool to create certificates in both Tizen Studio and RT IDE.
